Abstract

Purpose: To present ill people with special clinical conditions hospitalised at the children’s ward in Stip and treated with transfusion of erythrocyte concentrates.
Materials and methods: At the children’s ward in Stip annually around 1200 ill children from the eastern part of Macedonia are being hospitalised from which each third actually each fourth child has symptoms of anaemia. From them only small number are patients with special clinical conditions which despite the therapy ask for transfusion of erythrocyte concentrates in additive tincture, washed erythrocyte concentrates or filtered erythrocyte concentrates. Out of this illnesses more often can occur the illnesses of crescent-cells, malignant illnesses , haemorrhage and coagulating malformations, congenital malformations – Haemophilia A, Haemophilia B, and von Wilebrand’s illnesses, swollen malformations e.t.c.
Conclusion: Many clinical conditions in the pediatric age ask for transfusion of erythrocyte concentrates in additive tincture , washed erythrocyte concentrates or filtered erythrocyte. At the children’s ward in Stip only 17
( 4,76%) hospitalized have had transfusion with erythrocyte concentrates, in accordance of their weight.
