Abstract

The paper titled TIPOGENESIS AND MODEL OF VALORIZATION OF ILLITE
CLAYS IN THE VICINITY OF VINICA, R.MACEDONIA shows the results of research
carried out on illite clays in the vicinty of Vinica and possibility for their evaluation.
Tipogenesis and valorization of mineral resources constitute the basis and guideline
for all activities in the sites, and also represent a scientific basis for further prediction
and research of complex fields of different types of mineral raw materials.
Following the degree of exploration of clays in the said region, and access to the
complete documentation within this scientific paper is an attempt to make Geological -
economic evaluation using the appropriate Application software support which allowed
partial monitoring of the main parameters in the location. Also, this approach enabled
calculating ore reserves with a selection of individual natural geological indicators -
economic assessment. Processing of the natural and value indicators, which are the
basis for modern management of such facilities, but in our case the approach is to
provide a scientific basis for directing the activities of the operational plan supported by
geo-economic parameters that dictate the market economy.
According to mineralogical tests, it is concluded that the tested clays are composed of
quartz, feldspats and minerals of phylosilicate group ranging from chlorite -
hidrosericits to caolinites. Feldspats in its crystal lattice contain products of agrilization
i.e. caolin and hidrosericits – illite. Fe - minerals found in the form of beads and
aggregates, but also in the form of Fe - colloid. All examined samples contain a large
percentage of mellow and organic substances.
From the chemical point of view, examined clays are acidic loamy materials with SiO2
of 62.62 - 65.80% and Al2O3 16.21 - 21.53%.The amount of alcal-earth oxides shows
that the tested clays contain virtually no free carbonates or the amount is minimal and
there is no risk of negative impact on quality of products. The amount of Fe2O3 will
provide tile red color baking.
Examined composites belong to the group of highly plastic clays, the critical humidity
around 10%.
According to the results of laboratory tests of clays in the vicinity of Vinica, we can
conclude that it is about clays that can be used for all types of ceramic products, and it
is confirmed by made representative industrial samples.
