Abstract
According to statistical data in Macedonia in the past few years we are confronting a problem such as the attenuation in natural growth, stagnation of natural birth rate, increased mortality rate and a tendency of rapid growth of the population. Young people, which are the main pillars of the natural growth of the population are emigrating to other countries all over the world. The most common reasons for the stagnation of the natural birth rate and the negative tendency in the natural growth of the population are the poor economy development, the tradition of having one or two children, the level of education and the migration of people. These are the factors that impact the decision of young people to seed. The working population is in search of better future and in some parts of Macedonia people want to preserve their property in one piece, in others – just the opposite, they have a tendency of having more children. The statistics says that young people with high education mostly remain with only one or two children, while those with low education usually have more children.
