Abstract
Organic agriculture is a holistic approach in the inter sectorial relationship of the food and feed production activities and the environment. In order to organize sustainable organic farming it is necessary to understand various groups of factors which can support or limit organic farming development.
Research activities in this document are organized in manner to determine the present factors in this part of the Republic of Macedonia, such are: number of rural settlements, area under pastures, forests, arable land, number and kinds of animals, age and education structure of the rural population in the East Planning Region, knowledge level on the objectives and principles of organic farming, forest by-products, parameters that have influence over production activities in agriculture (temperature, humidity, precipitation).
Over some of the factors we can have influence, over others we cannot and there are those ones which are in direct correlation with human capacity.
