Abstract
This master degree final study on the subject: ECONOMIC-SOCIAL ASPECTS OF THE LISBON TREATY is an attempt on presentation of the most important and relevant economic and social aspects with the implementation of the Lisbon treaty, through presenting the characteristics and most important and relevant provisions of this Treaty.
At the beginning there is a brief presentation on the history of the European Union, and further on, follows a description of the main goal, basic characteristics and most important provisions of the Lisbon Treaty.
Further on, a description and analysis on the most important economic and social aspects of the Treaty is given. One significant part of the study is analysis of post-implementation implications with the Lisbon Treaty, as well as the perspectives in future displayed through the Strategy Europe 2020.
Significant attention is made on the analysis of the current condition in the Republic of Macedonia and mechanisms and methods of implementation and harmonization of the national with European legislation according the provisions in the Lisbon Treaty, analyzing the criteria, elements and items that Macedonia needs to implement and negotiate according the EU membership regulations.
