Abstract

The ethical dimension in relations between people, in their mutual communication and business remains popular and necessarily despite the temporary destructions, overturns and dilemmas through the centries. Business ethics is a form of applied ethics that examines ethical principles and ethical problems that arise in companies. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and largely determines the long-term operation of companies. However, the way companies operate and make their decisions has a critical impact not only on their long-term survival and development but also affects the lives of many people, their families and the society as a whole. Ethics is a fundament upon which civilized society is built. An individual, company, business sector or society that ignores ethical norms and values is doomed to failure, sooner or later. If companies want a surrounding, in which they could operate profitably in the future, then they must take concrete efforts that will ensure long term sustainability. It’s in their long-term interest to include social responsibility in their business decisions, practices and activities. Key words: employees, consumers, investors, ethical leadership, corporate social responsiveness, corporate social performance, corporate citizenship.
