Abstract
The city of Skopje is a part of Macedonia and it is of great importance of economic and social development of Macedonia. It is the biggest city in the Мацедониа and known as object of interest for investigating of possibilities of sustainable development of green areas.
In a series of methods to achieve ecological balance in the urban environment, planning and construction of green system has a special place. This activity accompanied urban and contemporary science and practice, but in each case requires a specific approach.
The main purpose of this report is to monitor and evaluate the opportunities for sustainable development of the municipality Skopje in recent years and on this basis to make suggestions for its successful development, emphasis is directed towards development of green areas.
