Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, restrictive measures, social isolation, fear of becoming infected personally and their loved ones, or increased, workload are some of the factors that negatively affect the mental health of all citizens. Our research has shown that there is currently no system for psycho-social support in the country that would protect the mental health of the population in state of emergency. A model of psychological first aid and support for the entire population is necessary and its implementation should be urgently prioritized.Of course, this model should be found in the legislation, which for the first time would
legally regulate the field of psychosocial support.
