Abstract
Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into English teaching is transforming conventional
pedagogies, providing customized, effective, and scalable learning. This paper discusses the
applications of AI-based tools like intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, automated feedback in
writing, and adaptive language learning platforms. These technologies improve learner engagement,
offer immediate feedback, and facilitate differentiated instruction according to unique learning needs.
Besides, AI facilitates the use of natural language by simulation and conversation agents, improving
speaking and hearing. While AI presents promising opportunities for both learners and teachers, there
are challenges of data confidentiality, capacity building of teachers, and technology dependency. This
study emphasizes the application of AI in English language education with wisdom to complement,
not replace, the human touch of teaching and learning.
