Abstract
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has become a focal point of geopolitical tension with far-reaching implications for global security. This paper examines the potential for future wars in Europe amid this conflict, analyzing historical grievances, geopolitical rivalries, and emerging security challenges. By drawing on scholarly literature, geopolitical analyses, and current events, we explore the underlying causes of the Russia-Ukraine conflict while emphasizing its complex nature and regional impacts. Additionally, we scrutinize the broader European geopolitical landscape by considering factors such as nationalist sentiments resurgence, territorial disputes, and increasing use of hybrid warfare tactics. Looking ahead, we evaluate the likelihood of future conflicts in Europe across various scenarios including potential flashpoints in Baltic states, Balkans,, and Eastern Europe. Furthermore, we examine how external actors like NATO, the European Union, and Russia shape security dynamics within the region and influence future conflicts' trajectory.
