Abstract

The connection between factors contributing to global warming, how they influence climate change, and how this, in turn, lead to human migration and displacement is the topic of the lecture.
According to statistics, around 22.5 million people move each year within and across borders because of climate and weather-related disasters. These migrants are people that escape from disasters, but they are not defined and treated as refugees, but as temporary migrants. The focus in the presentation is on climate-related migration and migrants.
