Abstract
Најгорлив проблем пред кој е исправена науката воопшто е проблемот поврзан со последиците од сфаќањето на развојот, и последователно со сфаќањето на односот човек – природа. Тековните филозофии за развој можат да бидат сублимирани во три концепти: концепт на економски растеж, концепт на длабока екологија и концепт на одржлив развој.
Во овој труд, презентирани се согледувањата за клучните карактеристики на трите концепти, како и за недостатоците на концептите за економски растеж и за длабока екологија, преку преиспитување на нивните базични принципи.
Истражувањето упатува на заклучокот дека и концептот на економски растеж и концептот на длабока екологија не можат да го издржат тестот на времето, а концептот на одржлив развој со сета своја надмоќ се наметнува како водечки правец за напредок на човештвото во хармонија на природата.

ABSTRACT
The most imminent problem confronting the science in general is the problem connected with the consequences of our understanding of the development, and consequently with our understanding of the relation man – nature. The modern philosophies of development can be sumarised in three concepts: the Concept of Economic Growth, the Concept of Deep Ecology, and the Concept of Sustainable Development.
In this Paper, findings on the most important characteristics of the three concepts are presented, as well as the weaknesses of the concept of economic growth and the concept of deep ecology through questioning of their fundamental principles.
The conducted research leads to the conclusion that both, the concept of economic growth and the concept of deep ecology can not endure the test of the time, and the concept of sustainable development with all its superiority impose as a leading direction for human progress in harmony with the nature.
