Abstract

There is no better way for law students to truly understand the law than through practical experience. Clinical legal education and Legal Clinics are essential for equipping future lawyers with the skills needed to navigate an ever-evolving legal landscape.

It's crucial for universities to recognize that legal clinics benefit both students and the community. They not only help students develop practical competencies but also promote social responsibility by giving back to those in need.

This article aims to present the Macedonian perspective on clinical legal education, in particular through critical assessment of the Law on free legal aid from 2019 vis-a-vis the Law from 2009. In addition, it focuses on the introduction of Legal Clinics for Free Legal Aid as part of the legal education of law students.
