Abstract
In the paper, we will try to initiate some of the problems and dilemmas in preschool institutions, on
the issue of gifted and talented children. The complexity of the problem includes issues related to the
recognition, detection, and identification of gifted and talented, characteristics of gifted and talented children,
and factors for the development of gifted and talented as parents, family, educational institutions, educators,
programs, work strategies, the education system, the state. The issue of gifted and talented children in the system
of preschool education causes numerous dilemmas from different aspects. Theoretical reflections and knowledge
and practical experiences are a solid basis for innovating preschool practice from the perspective of gifted and
talented children. The paper can not answer all the questions and offer solutions to all the problems, but raises a
question to which the answer should be a synergistic attempt of all relevant factors and a symbiotic approach in
its practical dimension.
