Abstract

The geoparks represent certain territories that are aimed at the protection, management and
presentation of the natural and cultural-historical heritage of a given area. Geopark compositions can
also be designed to make easier the access and movement of visitors within the geopark. The wellmarked trails, information boards and signposts can help visitors seamlessly navigate and enjoy
geological attractions. The compositions provide opportunities to educate and inform visitors about the
geological past, landforms, rock formations and other natural phenomenon. The compositions can be
used for protection and preservation of vulnerable ecosystems and natural resources in the geopark.
This paper highlights aspects of good geopark compositions.
