Abstract

The digitalization process in the Macedonian public healthcare system started a decade ago, but its implementation has been accelerated by the EU digital strategy and the health crisis. The transformation of the traditional health care system to an eHealth system in general has been based on policies, strategies, and laws adopted without the involvement or cooperation of the academic community or solutions based on good practices. This lecture provides an overview of eHealth law developments as well as comparative analyses of national legislation, EU recommendations, and the models of financing the public health care system in North Macedonia.
