Abstract

For the first time, the model of two-step electrochemical transformation of lipophilic redox proteins, whose electrochemically generated product can enter into irreversible regenerative reaction, is solved under conditions of square-wave voltammetry. The MATHCAD simulation protocol presented in this work contains all parameters needed to simulate different scenarios of this important mechanism. While we give the readers plenty of simulated voltammetric patterns, hints are also provided to the parameters that affect the voltammetric outputs. This is one of the very few electrochemical models for redox transformation of lipophilic redox proteins that has not been solved so far, and the readers can get entire MATHCAD simulation protocol for free.
