Abstract

Specific characteristics in the village settlement
Lesnov that was formed next to the monastery complex, that was made as rural settlement with certain
architectural aesthetics for the homes.
The meaning of the development of the architecture of the village home from aspect of space is very
modest were the main types are connected with use
of the balcony (čardak), also creating homes with and
without a balcony. In reference to for the floors they
used aslant terrain for building for the ground floor,
making it a base for the floor. Important is the use of
the local stones for the ground floor, creating a specific structure of the façade making it more vivid from
different stones.
Furthermore, the connection with the monastery
and church have created conditions for long process
of the development for the settlement, that with their
features are distinct for building a heritage in the region, and a contribution in creating a model with local features, as part of national types of dwellings.
