Abstract
This lecture is focused on chemical reactions and their importance in medicine. Knowing the fact that over 400 billion chemical reactions take place in one second in our body, it is quite important to understand basic principles of chemical transformations. While classification of all chemical reactions is made, several manners are presented that can help in balancing of chemical equations. Special focus is put on the oxidation-reduction reactions and their importance in biochemistry.
