Abstract
Forest fires represent one of the major risks to nature and protected forest areas. Early detection of fire remains one of the greatest challenges for researchers and institutions in crisis management systems in Europe.
The ASPires project has developed theoretically practical concepts and guidelines for building an intelligent telematics system for early detection of forest fires.
The project showed that different types of fire detection technology can be used to operate and manage in cloud infrastructure. Creating a real-time forest fire detection system is quite possible. The correlation of the data collected allows for high efficiency and optimal costs.
On this site you can get acquainted with the history of the project. The teams that worked on the project continue to work on the practical application of the theoretical and scientific knowledge achieved within the ASPires project.
