Abstract
The fied and laboratory eximinations carried out so far in the
vicinity of the village Mitrasinci discovered titano magnetite ores in a zone which can be traced for more than 12 km along its strike with the average width of 300 m. The contents of the fundamental ore metals are estimated to be about 25 % Fe and about 9.1 % TiO2. The major ore minerals and essential constituents in the ore mineralization are titanomagnetite, ilmenite, magnetite, pyrite, chalkopyrite, rutile, chematite, limonite etc. This paper deals with the latest microprobe analyses carried out on the major
ore minerals. Generally, the contents of titanomagnetite, magnetite, ilmenite, pirhotine and ilmenite were determined. Besides, the characteristic admixtures such as Cr, Y, Ni, Cu and Mn were also determined some of which displayed increased and indicative contents.
