Abstract

The village settlement Zdunje was located in
the ethnic area Poreче in the central part of
Macedonia. The importance of the settlement
is emphasized by the plans for the construction
of the Kozjak hydropower plant project. In that
direction, complex cultural researches of the
cultural heritage of the settlement and the
wider region have been realized, archeological,
architectural and ethnological researches. In
this study are presented the architectural�ethnological research, which was realized by a
team from the Republic Institute for the
Protection of Cultural Monuments
The village settlement Zdunje in Poreче
contains significant samples of the traditional
village house from the area Poreче. The data
on the existence of this settlement are
especially important, due to its disappearance
with the construction of the Kozjak
Hydropower Plant. The research for the
settlement Zdunje was realized in 1986-87.
