Abstract

The presentation focuses on North Macedonia and on the bordering practices of the EU towards it. More in detail, it outlines the different practices that the EU has undertaken through its policies and legislative instruments both internal and external, in order to influence realities in North Macedonia in relation to issues of migration, asylum and security in general, for the period from the migration crisis until now. The presentation is a part of a wider research within the Jean Monnet Networks project 'BORDEURs' with the aim to explore new borderlands in the Euopean Union.
