Abstract
The coordinative covalent bond is a special type of covalent bond in which both shared electrons come from a so-called "ligand" species that act as Lewis bases, while some metal cation of d-group (the group of transient metals) acts as a Lewis acid. The coordinative chemistry is very important segment in pharmacy, medicine, electrochemistry and chemistry. This is because the synthesis, the bioavailability and the efficient transport of many highly hydrophilic and highly lipophilic drugs and physiologically active substance depends significantly on whether these compounds are in form of stable complexes. In this lecture, written on Macedonian language, we give insights into the structure of various complexes, and special attention is paid to the nomenclature and equilibria existing in complexation reactions. Special part of this lecture is focused on voltammetry on Coordinative complexes, as a simple and efficient tool for evaluating thermodynamic parameters related to various stable and instable Metal-Ligand complexes. Lecture is designed in a way to be used by students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses of pharmacy, medicine and chemistry.
