Abstract

The solutions equilibria of sparingly soluble salts in water are considered as a milestone for understanding many processes in material chemistry, pharmacy, and medicine. In this lecture we focus on the thermodynamic consideration of solubility product Ksp of various types of salts, and we give explicit equations for estimation of the ionic solubility of various water "insoluble" salts. Special attention is given to the cathodic stripping voltammetry as a technique that gives thermodynamic and kinetic insights into the hardly soluble complexes of mercury working electrode with different ligands. The lecture is written in Macedonian and it is suitable for the chemistry, pharmacy and medicine students from Macedonia.
