Abstract
Infantile muscular torticollis is caused by the contracture and degeneration of the sternocleidomastoid
muscle and characterized by the head on one side and subsequent deformity such as asymmetric face and head. If it
is not properly treated in infancy, the deformity will increase with aging. It is indicated that Tuina is quite effective
against infantile muscular torticollis. Tuina serves to relax tendons and activate blood, soften hardness and dissolve
lump to treat infantile muscular torticollis.
