Abstract
The paper presents a real overview of the most important parts of the book Balkansko poluostrvo i južnoslovenske zemlje. Osnove antropogeografije [Balkan Peninsula and the South Slavic Lands. The basics of anthropogeography] by Jovan Cvijić, where the situation in the territory of the Republic of Macedonia is reflected. We are especially exploring the migration metanastazic movements and the consequences for the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. We analyse the basic anthropological psychic types and ethnic groups (variants) in the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. In the end, we draw conclusions from Jovan Cvijić’s axiom for the independent political and cultural life of the Balkan peoples and bringing the Balkans together.
