Abstract

Introduction: This paper involves researching and proving the adverse effects that may arise from the use of local anesthetics in dental practices, when placing implants. Display of them and prevention.
Methods and materials: Based on a pre-prepared questionnaire, a survey of twenty dental clinics in city of Stip was made for the experience of working with local anesthetics, their application when placing implants and side effects.
Results: After the survey in the dental clinics in city of Stip, results were obtained on how much the risk of side effects when using local anesthetics. Expressed in percent of the risk of using local anesthetics in Implantology. Research has been done in dental offices around the city of Stip about what negative reactions have occurred in the application of local anesthetics in Implantology. The negative effects and consequences of using local anesthetics have been investigated.
Conclusion: From the work done, we can conclude that local anesthetics are inevitable for use in dental practices and are more commonly used today, especially when using implants. We cannot place implant without local anesthetics. It is normal that there are negative effects from the use of local anesthetics, but after the survey and the percentage obtained, we can conclude that these adverse effects are rare. It is particularly important before the application of local anesthetics to take a detailed patient history in order to avoid these side effects and adverse effects. When a patient is allergic to the composition of the local anesthetic, general anesthesia is set in order to avoid the side effects.
Key words: side effects, local, anesthetics, implants, implantology, dental clinics, risk, negative.
