Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of illegal migration, smuggling of migrants and its links to organized
crime with an overview of legal and other mechanisms that govern this issue.
This paper investigated and analyzed the existing situation regarding the illegal crossing of the state border on the
basis of available statistical data especially in recent years and the upcoming wave of migrants which in 2017 is
expected to be very large dimensions and measures to be taken to counter illegal migration
