Abstract
Preparation for immediate pedagogical work of students – potential teachers is one of the key questions argued by those who in one way or another are included or interested in education. The interest is completely justified especially if educationally confirmed attitude – the educational quality of the teachers is one of the basic determinants for the students’ level of achievements is taken into consideration. In that context, worldly educational teachers reach consensus about the need of professionalization by searching several answers of the following questions: To which topics accent should be put during their initial education? What kind of curriculum should be designed? Whether the teachers are more successful in their work if during their initial education accept greater knowledge and develop abilities in order to apply them or will they be able to make continuous changes of their pedagogical acquirements? Whether during their initial education the teachers are going to prepare themselves as practical people who will routinely apply examined didactical- methodical approaches or as reflective professionals who in every moment of their pedagogical working can answer not only the questions what and how something can be done, but also what is that something about?
In this paper the results of an empirical research done in June, 2010 are given. The focus group is 45 students (seniors) from the department of elementary school education at the Faculty of Education in Stip. The main goal of this research is to reveal strong and weak parts of the model for practical pedagogical/professional qualification of the students while studying their attitudes and opinions about the significance of the sensibility model, the significance of the educational profession and the significance of the students’ qualification model about planning, organizing, realizing, and assessing the teaching (methodical- didactical aspects).
