Abstract
In this study: it is stressed on the importance of the grandfather in the family by getting the main idea from the book “ Babam Öğretmendi” by Lutfu Seyfullah. The introduction part of the story starts with greetings in the family, respect to the elderly and its importance. In the body part it is mentioned the educational wishes of grand father to the grandson. The concluding section discusses the teaching-learning success between grandfather and grandson
The story talks about the first real teachers between grand parents-grand children and in the eyes of the grandchildren, grandfathers are the most patient and most valuable teachers filling the gaps left by the parents against child.
