Abstract

The folk songs in Macedonia although having some characteristics as the folk songs in Turkey, they do have slight differences. Those differences are emerging from the special social lives. For five-six centuries Turks, as in Balkan Peninsula, influenced the nations’ lives which lead to the expansion a very rich culture in Macedonia.
Literature, no doubt, is the most important area of the culture. As literature was covering the customs and traditions of the Turkish lives, it was reflecting the social life as well. Among the folk songs in Macedonia's weddings some disorders can be found. For example, in the magazine of “Sesler” same songs were published several times in different forms.
