Abstract
This paper examines the issue of fantasy in Macedonian children literature. The attention is drawn to the type of fantasy known as Collodi’s fantasy because the main emphasis is on giving life, i.e. revival of objects, phenomena, toys and animals, as a feature of the world of miracles. Animals and toys are constant companions of the child in his everyday life; they are faithful companions in times of loneliness, sickness, etc. Therefore, the child has a specific animistic approach towards them and develops various emotions. Simultaneously, they give the child pleasure and fun, and they are especially important because they help the child in developing socialization skills and building his human personality.
