Abstract
This study provides an overview of stories for children of the first postwar generation of Turkish writers in the Republic of Macedonia, analyze their main features and reasons influenced the choice of their subjects. The work of the first postwar generation of Turkish writers in Macedonia took place in conditions of postwar construction of the country when generally everybody believed in socialism, and it reflected the content of stories for children. The work in this period was difficult due to lack of previous examples, the absence of rich world of yugoslav and turkish children's literature in Macedonia, and lack of contacts with the Republic of Turkey.
