Abstract
Leisure time is an integral part of human activity, time out of professional activities, family and social
commitments. During this time the individual selects the activities, forms and manners for rest, activities,
entertainment and creativity according his/hers own wishes. It is conditioned by the society, it is always part of
certain context (family, school, peer group, as a whole society in general, etc.) and has its own content, it is
expedient and value stained.
With the rapid socio-cultural changes, changes and problems also occurs in the manner of spending the
leisure time. Traditional cultural values are changing, new values reveal, new variety of activities, groups, and
thus, on the one hand, it’s changing the contents of the leisure time, and on the other hand less attention s devoted
to its contents. Instead of cultural goods in the leisure time, the contents of mass culture and consumption are
more dominant. Therefore, a special attention should be paid to the contents used to fill the free time as well as the
factors that can contribute to cultural fulfilling of the and leisure time of children and youth.
