Workshop on rhythm at "MakeDox"
A workshop on rhythm conceived as a five-day multifaceted pattern of recurrent practical activities, lectures and profound discussions with Bratko Bibic, Eduardo Raon, Miha Zadnikar and Toni Kitanovski for various complex interactions between the documentary and the music and the role of sound in a documentary film in general, will be held from Sunday, June 21st to June 25th at Pocket cinema at YCC.
The workshop is open to all curious musicians, composers, directors, editors, tone masters, DJs, fans of visual and performative art and documentary form. Despite the tickling theoretical part, participants will be able to closely see how this entire workflow of a group of selected musicians under the artistic leadership of Eduardo Raon and Toni Kitanovski , will make new music background for the famous film Ziga Vertov "Enthusiasm. Symphony of the Donbass" from 1931.
Organized in cooperation with the Macedonian Cinematheque and the Cinematheque of Slovenia, the workshop will end on June 25th in Kursumli An with a premiere screening of the film and live performance of the composed film music. Slovenian premiere will be held in the first half of October 2015 at the Cinematheque of Slovenia in Ljubljana on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its program "Cinema-ear” (Кино-ухо).
