Abstract
Decision – making is the process of choosing between two or more
alternatives. If there is one alternative there isn’t decision. From year to year, day by
day around the world are produced new and new theories of leadership (governance)
with main goals to improve and discern better decision – making process. The obtained
results are sometimes contradictory. Depending on each access point for someone most
important for decision are moral qualities, others put in the first place expertise and the
third put intelligence, leadership and etc. World practice has shown and proved that a
well-established, validated analytical and balanced decision making process is key for
effective leadership. Using of thoroughness, clarity, pure reason, logic and professional
knowledge are key elements in defence decision making process. “Nothing is more
difficult and therefore more precious than to be able to decide” said Napoleon.
