Abstract

The term of "definiteness" in German and Macedonian language is a subject of research in this book and we come to
conclusion that according to the results from our analysis, almost all the participants
used the articles in a native-like manner in most cases, particularly those with high
German proficiency, but also we should mention that inappropriate selection and
choice for articles are being made. In most cases, the participants have chosen to
use the article according to its specificity rather than definiteness, particularly those
students with a lower proficiency of German language who are making their choice
on the base neither on their definiteness nor specificity.
