Abstract
Contemporary trends of fiscal reform indicate on the certain change in perception for the role and significance of fiscal policy. The financial crisis, collapses of financial markets, deep recessions, increasing rates of unemployment as well as the rise of social discontent represent signs that the time has come for crucial change in the priorities of general economic policy governed by the states. In that context, the fiscal policy which is considered as an integral part of the general economic policy, has undergone modifications of its role and overall objectives. Therefore, as one of the most fundamental roles of the fiscal policy, imposed by the present day’s global transitions and trends, is the role for promotion and support of economic development, which is thought to be the safest route to maintain economic stabilization and overcame the economic crisis.
