Abstract
The competition between innovative and generic pharmaceutical companies has intensified in the last decade. Generic medicines have very important role in the development of a sustainable and accessible healthcare system. On the other hand, innovations should be stimulated to maintain and improve the quality of health care. Finding the balance between pharmacotherapy and pharmacoeconomy is one of the key challenges of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare policies.
