The paper presents a comprehensive view of the road network from prehistory to late antiquity. Bregalnica valley was connected with the surrounding provinces, Thrace and Dardania through road communications. The road network is consists of single road lines. Among the oldest roads that Bregalnica valley was connected with Povardarie is Lakavica road going along the right bank of the river Lakavica and it starts from the mouth of the river Lakavica entering Bregalnica near the village Sofilari and continuing to villages Dragoevo and Selce through Konce and the pass near village Kosturino going down to the valley of the Vardar. The same road continues to operate in the Roman period, which is indicated by the tumulus knolls along the road. With the construction of so called Diagonal road from Heraclea to Pautalija, Lakavica road loses its primacy and becomes a secondary road linking Strumica and Radovish with this part of Macedonia. One of the busiest roads was ancient Diagonal road which is divided into two routes in this area, namely: through Mushanci - Eneshevo through Mushanci - Dzhidimirci - Haji Sejdeli going down to the mouth of the river Lakavica in Bregalnica and was adjacent to the Lakavica road near Sofilari. Another road went from Sofilari to Astibo and Pautalija. Along the southern edge of the valley of the river Bregalnica went a road from Astibo to Bargala in length of 13 km. From Bargala continued to the north to Morobizdon in length of 19 km. From Morobizdon in length of 9 km the road went to Vinica. where it separated into two routes, and to Pautalija Partikopol.
