Abstract

Zurla is a musical instrument that enjoys a widespread recognition around the world and is especially popular in the Balkan countries. It has exerted great influence and played a crucial role in the development of folk culture among the people living in these corners of the world. It has been accompanied by the drum on many social occasions to celebrate events organized by the indigenous people. We will draw on our previous research to try to determine the success rate of the zurla and related instruments in the Balkan folklore.
