Abstract
Computers and the Internet have opened up many possibilities for language teaching and learning. There are many websites and software programmes which enable learners to improve their language knowledge and skills by communicating with other English speakers and engaging in various activities that provide more authentic learning experiences. This paper describes one of the numerous online tools for language learning and development - the WebQuest, which is an inquiry-oriented activity that requires the use of authentic materials and provides opportunities for authentic language use.
