Abstract
During the four-years research, characterization and evaluation of the agronomic potentials of seven androgenic pepper lines was performed: KK1 and KK2 obtained from the variety Kurtovska Kapija, androgenic lines P3 and P4 obtained from the variety Piran and androgenic lines F5, F6 and F7 obtained from the variety Feherozon. For this purpose, the most significant biological, morphological and productive traits of pepper androgenic lines were investigated and compared to the parental genotypes used for their induction in in vitro conditions via the method of androgenesis. In this research work, twenty one traits of the androgenic lines and their parental genotypes were examined, tested and compared. The analysis of traits validates that the androgenic lines, as compared to their parental genotypes, differ in various plant and fruit morphological traits: the androgenis lines F6 and F7 in six traits, the androgenic lines KK1, KK2, P3 and P4 in seven traits and the androgenic line F5 in nine traits. Based on the conducted research of all traits and their analysis, a description, characterization and evaluation of the seven androgenic lines was determined.
This research determines the significance and feasibility of obtaining pepper androgenic lines, as new genetic resource for improvement of the autochtonous agrobiodiversity and opens possibilities for their further utilization as a resource for molecular, genetic and breeding research work.
