Abstract

The quantitative traits of rice are controlled by polygenes that combine diversely and are significantly influenced by the environmental factors. Because of these factors, their inheritance is complex and the breeding is very difficult. In order to achieve a better breeding effect, knowledge of some yield components (number of productive tillers and number of grains in the main panicle) of the F1 and F2 generation hybrids obtained by crossing of cultivated white and red - grain rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.) were analyzed. The used cultivated white and red-grain rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.) were analyzed. The used cultivated white varieties (Monticceli, R-76/6 and ranka) and red-grain genotypes (bicolorata, desvauxii and caucasica - by Guschchin, 1934) differ and caucasica - by Guschchin,1934 ) differ in some qualitative traits as well as in quantitative ones, that creates a possibility for positive transgression occurrence.
