Abstract

This paper presents some data on the chemical composition of the thermomineral water of the drillholes ZD-3 and ZD-7 drilled in the "Zdravevci" geothermal system in the vicinity of Kratovo. An attempt has been made to study the chemical composition of thermomineral water in July, August and September in order to determine the presence and variations of the contents of individual elements. The contents of the elements such as Ca, Mg, Na, K have determined as major and Fe, Al, Mn as accessory as well as As, Ag, Ni, Cr, Co, Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Sr, Se, Ti etc. as microelements. The elements were determined with AES - ICP method. The AES-CIP method could be used as a routine method for the assessment of the quality of underground waters, surface waters and potable waters. The results obtained indicate that there are no significant deviations in the content of elements analysed.
