Abstract

Leisure time is an integral part of human activity, excluding professional activities, family and social obligations. All individuals have a right to choose forms and activities for recreation and entertainment according to their own will, interests, needs, preferences and abilities. Leisure time is especially important during adolescence and early adoulthood, including the period of studies at the University, when external factors have major influence on the creation of the personality and identity of the youth. The purpose of this article is to examine the role of the University as a factor in the organization of the spare time, as well as to present the different forms of leisure time activities of the students from the same "Teaching" faculties of three universities in two different countries. For the purpose of the study we used by specially enclosed questionnaire consisting of 17 questions. The object of the study were 408 students with bachelor degree, in particular 166 students from the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education (FNPP) at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Bulgaria (SU), 128 students from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University Goce Delchev - Stip, Macedonia (UGD) and 114 students from the Faculty of Science and Education at Ruse University “Angel Kanchev” Bulgaria (RU). The obtained results were analyzed and presented based on analysis of the frequencies (f) and percentage (%). The differences in results between students of the three universities are determined using analysis of variance (ANOVA). In cases were tested at a significance level of 0.01 and 0.05. Data obtained in the study were processed using SPSS statistical package 19.
