Abstract
In “We, the sparrows” the children’s world and the human world in general are represented as an allegory, seen through the prism of the sparrows’ world. Jordan Radickov makes a combination of several speaking modules: narration and description, and description with commentary. The text functions as a medium due to frequent repetitions, while illustrations with their accompanying commentaries confirm that ultimate esthetic and intellectual points could be accomplished in children’s literature, as in the literature for “adults”.
