Abstract

This paper deals with the issue of representation of trade
unions and employers' associations in the process of collective bargaining and tripartite bodies and institutions in the Republic of Macedonia, where emphasis is placed on the representative model of representation. The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of majority and representative model of representation. In this context, we analyzed the provisions of the Labor Law pertaining to the criteria of representativeness of trade unions and employers' associations. The paper also deals with the
role, responsibilities, and structure of the Commission for
Determining for Representation, as well as with overall legal procedure for obtaining the representative status of trade unions and employers' associations. A separate section of the paper presents the results of representation of trade unions and employers' associations in a table. The end of the paper contains the conclusions to which the authors come in their research.
