Abstract

Voluntarily blood donation is an expression of high ethical, moral and patriotical values in a modern, contemporary society. According to the princi-ples of the World Health Organization and ethical codex of International Fed-eration of Associations of the Red Cross and the Red Half-moon as well as the up-to now regulation and persists to reckon among the countries with highest human values.
We expect that with all-embracing analysis we will succeed to show the development of blood donation in the eastern part of R. Macedonia in the past 58 years, in that way we will leave veracious base of data for the future gen-erations who will make such or similar research.
The main accent in this specialist work is put on the history of blood do-nation as on the development of promotion and marketing of the Red Cross in the eastern part of R. Macedonia. We hope that with total formulation of the results in this work we will point out some possible weaknesses or omissions in organization of blood donation as well as introducing new regulations and opportunities in the process of elevation of blood donation.
With the help of statistic analysis all the data of the registered blood do-nations in the past 58 years will be processed, which are registered in the Re-gional Centre fir Transfusion in Shtip, in tables, graphically of the blood donors according to the sex, age, nationality and social status. With that we to point out the problems and omissions the blood donors are faced with as well as the way of their motivation, keeping of the existing ones and recruiting new blood donors.
We hope that this work will indicate the need of continuous promotion and education as condition for reduction of all the risks which influence the development of blood donation and organizing appropriate educational measures to whole population.
